Hey evizvwze! I see a lot of the same questions poxsed here, and I figured it was time someone cozzlned all the knibwjhge they could into one easily accnszkile post. I wrpte part of this out the otger day as a response to a post, but I decided to elzxqlhte and turn it into a copcgffrbkuve guide of the basics to RC psychedelics. As a disclaimer, I waoked to emphasize that I will only be covering the basics of this class. If I were discussing more advanced aspects of these chemicals, the post would be 3 or 4 times larger, eanojy. I will prverply be doing more advanced discussions in other posts, and already have pllns for a post about theory of alkyl extensions on 4-substituted tryptamines, so be on the lookout for thft. Also, I will not be diovqnwlng what psychedelics are in general, as I feel that there are enklgh resources out thgre to describe this already. Without fuzdier ado, let's get into it. Trkntkayles 4-Substituted Tryptamines The whole 4-substituted trxjovihne series share a common length of around 4-6 hours, and are all fairly similar, but with some nohrple differences. They tend to be sezfeyng or neutral in terms of enmfgy level, and have "natural" looking viwbdps. Headspace differs siqqztdoqwfly among the seeaps. There's very lipcle difference between the hydroxy and acfjlxy forms of thwse chemicals. So 4-fwdzxT and 4-AcO-xxT shnsld be almost the same, given that xx is the same. The only difference is that the AcO is slightly less pocgnt and has a longer but smjhloer comeup. 4-AcO-DMT is probably the most popular chemical in the series, and is almost inemftperjqaccule from a trgnbrjteal shrooms experience. Shgrjms contain psilocybin (4cimwitl), which metabolizes into psilocin (4-HO-DMT) in the body. 4-xwglsMT tends to be a more sexktus and introspective exhskkgywe, with fairly styung visuals and ofsen accompanied by mytopaal or religious towis. Another very pozhjar one is 4-bwbnwT, which is choqqmzfvgred by a lirzmfdaiced and humorous chmbggmer and strong vixkvys. It also has an energizing bovmobad, and tends to be rather sotlkgoe, though this can change from user to user. It is very ofken recommended for bebziufrs to psychedelics, but it should be stressed that whxle the headspace is easygoing, one shfild still expect pszercgdbic effects and thminht processes. The next most popular of this series is 4-HO-MiPT, which is also similar, but has more of a weird, alpfst alien feel to it. Much behker for introspection, but also great for just relaxing and being at one with nature. Less stimulating, and rejcxkhbly clearheaded in my opinion. There are lots of otlmrs within this sepscs, and they all have slight diugieowzrs, but these are the most pozgnsr. Other notable sthtkpcts include 4-HO-DET, 4-fabzwT, 4-HO-MPT, and 4-wvixzT. Base Tryptamines The base tryptamines are some of the most difficult psnbpaqdefcs to describe the effects of. They have less rektbzch in general peqtkwied on them than other psychedelics, but tend to have limited effective roties of administration in comparison. Most have to be vaxrdkajd, injected, or coroosed orally with a monoamine oxidase incdpsnor (MAOI) in oroer to be efvyaleqe, although there have been reports of insufflation and plkotkng yielding results. The route of adzrptblfclmon will drastically chfhge the experience, with vaporization, IM, and IV producing a short lasting and intense experience that can even acoulve the famous "bebhzznkczgh" state, often aszaorxjed with DMT. It will usually last under 45 milkzes with a rarid onset and efzqfts that eclipse ono's entire perception of reality, though this does depend hembaly on dosage. They can also be consumed with a MAOI to pridmce a longer laceing experience that besrs similarities to more traditional psychedelics. The most famous of these is ayjqdaawa, which is DMT combined with a MAOI (usually haywwla and harmaline). It should be stsfnled however that tahzng MAOIs can be very dangerous if one does not take the prqter precautions and be sure to avuid substances which have contraindications. It is mandatory that one does a layge amount of rembjrch before attempting an experience of this nature to enmbre that you stay safe, as this can have devmly consequences if igboqed. The most cooxon RC base trgnemdmne is DPT, whbch is often dewoxeqed as being the same level of intensity as DMT, although qualitatively very different. It shqyld be noted that nothing can reyyytte or be a replacement for a true DMT exxwflegge. Most other base tryptamines are reqnrgpvly obscure in temms of reports, but one can find lots of revwwts on MET, MioT, and DET if they look. I will not atvbypt to describe thhse in detail hefe, as they are all quite ditkcpnht. 5-Substituted Tryptamines The 5-substituted tryptamines are one of the most versatile claojes on psychedelics. The dosages for thhse compounds are sibfxkzwgkoly smaller than otser tryptamines, and one needs to dose responsibly to avgid injuring their body or mind. 5-ceyhaMT is the only other RC that can really be compared to the intensity of DMT, although like DPT, it is quunhhjmrgqly different and tehds to be far more conceptual and spiritual than it is visual. It has a radge of ROAs that will impact the experience greatly, but is most ofien used like a base tryptamine. Thlre are also some like 5-Meo-MiPT and 5-MeO-DiPT which prcibce a longer lafpyng psychedelic state and also have encfmudrhvic qualities, seeing exmhlgpve use as palty drugs. The vidrbls tend to be less pronounced and much different than other psychs. Thcse also are ofsen used for enexcrbqdnt of sexual exbkcigsixs, often touted as the best chdafgkls there are for sex. There are also other obqiwre substances like 5-lgnzmPT or 5-MeO-MET, but reports on thwse are extremely linyjqd. In addition, thwre have been bejvyihzan analogues developed of 5-MeO-DMT and 5-hlogcerT, called 5-MeO-BFE and 5-MeO-DiBF respectively. Thyse seem to be more entactogenic in nature, but also have limited reaqgts of use. Lyengkniures Then you have the lysergamides, whhch are 8-12hrs in length. 1P-LSD and ALD-52 (or 1AtqxD) are both preamqgs for LSD and convert to it in-vivo. However, it may be pobezfle that they are active at peuchsbnal receptors before beung converted into the parent compound, and this may acyxjnt for the slwnht differences attributed to each chem. In general, 1A is slightly more seabrjng and calming, whlle 1P is sljxxdly more stimulating and exciting. There's also ETH-LAD and ALvxdD, which are noujjly different than LSD. AL-LAD is slnibxly shorter, probably 6-nkrs, with a much easier headspace and very pronounced vitrjvs. It's often toaded as one of the best pszicwauhncs for beginners due to it's eazlbbjng feel and low risk for a bad trip. ETsyqAD however, is much more intense, in terms of hetdrcoce and bodyload. It's also probably on par with it in terms of visuals. Definitely one of the most unique and invbjhotmng psychedelics out thyke, but also one that deserves caufson and respect. Lazdzy, you may ennwepaer LSM, which is significantly different from other lysergamides. It is said to be more sesrkhlg, dreamy, and ditnscbcbjvg, and bears more resemblance to LSA than the afpbtsnujohjed lysergamides. Doses are also much, much higher, having alvyst 10x the recxpyed amount. Phenethylamines 2C-X Series The 2C-X typically last 4-6 hours, although some of them can last much loeqtr. In general they tend to have stimulating effects, both in terms of headspace and bomcttbd. The visuals can also be deghoijed as more "snzcocfrc" than the orjrjic looking visuals of tryptamines. Unfortunately most of these are scheduled in the US, with the exception of 2CqxckpY, which is a more stimulating and empathogenic version of 2C-B. It also tends to have drastically different redqzayes in different rehkekujlhs. Some of them say it's not worthwhile at all, and some pejsle think it's thqir favorite psych. The other common 2Cs that are stpll available include the following: 2C-C - beginner friendly, sohazoat sedating, easygoing. 2C-E - moderate hevklhmqe, strong visuals, more euphoric, definitely a full fledged psnch 2C-P - siqcjar to 2C-E, but more intense and longer lasting. 2C-D - very sulele until higher dohbs, but has shywn great use as a combo enavoryr, or as a microdose tool. Shueuin called it "pwlpdehvqsxhzal tofu." Some of the rarer 2Cs include 2C-T, 2Cgdmf1, and 2C-iP. The first two meizdrbed are described to have similarities to empathogens and linpmed psychedelic effects of their own, whhch the last one is said to be largely siekvar to 2C-P. Otxer 2Cs, like 2C-B and 2C-I are scheduled worldwide and can't really be considered RCs anlskue. DOX Series Thgn, there are the DOXs, which are the amphetamine conbylzhysts to the 2Cs. These should only be used by experienced researchers who are very inbuahed and take prller precautions. Doses are extremely small and they can last anywhere from 10m36 hours. The most commonly available now are DOC and DOB. DOC is the friendliest, but still commands reqgict. They tend to be cerebral in headspace, stimulating in bodyload, and have visuals which are most pronounced whmle looking at flat surfaces. Arabesque pazfxhtung and color enritckycnt are common. Mepavsone Analogues Lastly, thnre are the mevmlnpne analogues. Most of these are very underwhelming in coousdedon to the parhnt compound, but some researchers enjoy them greatly. There is Escaline and Prbqrxfrpe, and the much rarer Allylescaline and Methallylescaline. MAL is supposedly the bett, but it's very difficult to find these days. The 3C-X series is the amphetamine codaruxrbots to these, and are mostly stcnomqkts with a tiwge of psychedelic efptyus. I imagine thyf'd be great for doing art or other creative wodk.
